Since 2021, we've opted to forego grand client gifts at Christmas, instead focusing on supporting social projects in our region. Together with the charity Bunter Kreis, we'll continue this commitment into 2026.
Our Social Commitment: Giving Joy Together
Over the past few years, our consultants have had numerous interactions with social projects both professionally and personally. This led us to make an important decision in 2021: rather than sending out client gifts as we had done before, we decided to support social facilities in our area. Our aim, particularly during Christmas, is to help children and families facing challenging situations and to bring them joy.
During our search for a suitable partner, we quickly came across the Ziegelhof Therapy Centre in Stadtbergen, located just a few kilometres from our company headquarters. Since 2015, the Bunter Kreis foundation has been offering valuable help to children and young people there who suffer from psychological, neurological, or traumatic disorders. The support ranges from occupational therapy to psychotherapy to experiential education. What particularly impressed us was the animal-assisted therapy, where animals are specifically used to bring new hope to seriously ill children and adolescents. Since Bunter Kreis collaborates with the Dominikus-Ringeisen-Werk at Ziegelhof in Ursberg, we also decided to offer Christmas ornament hangers with festive motifs to our clients in 2024. These hangers were crafted by people with disabilities at the Dominikus-Ringeisen-Werk workshops in Ursberg.
2021: Sponsorship of a Therapy Horse
Impressed by the work of the team at the Ziegelhof Therapy Centre, in 2021 we decided to forego client gifts and instead acquire our own therapy horse for Ziegelhof. With this initiative, we aimed to actively promote the animal-assisted therapy on-site, allowing children and young people to continue developing self-confidence and experiencing joy through interaction with animals.
2022: Acquisition of a Therapy Saddle
The following year, our horse named Frodo-Blue was successfully trained for therapy use. To enable full participation in therapy, a suitable therapy saddle was still needed, which we donated to Bunter Kreis. This allowed both educational support and animal-assisted intervention with Frodo to commence—another step in providing targeted assistance to young patients.
2023: Monetary Donation for Animal Therapy and Book Donation for Needy Families
Last year, we wanted to extend our help further and decided to make both a material donation and a monetary donation to bring joy to as many children and families as possible. We donated 80 copies of the book "77 Christmas Windows: Stories That Touch the Heart" by Willi Hoffsümmer, which were given to needy families in the Bunter Kreis. In addition, with our monetary donation, we covered the costs for feed, hoof care, and a new warm blanket for our sponsored horse, Frodo-Blue.
2024: Social Workday 1
This year, we wanted to get hands-on to support the continuation of the animal-assisted therapy with Frodo-Blue. During a "Social Workday," we worked alongside the operations manager, Mr. Seifert, to renew two kilometres of pasture fencing for the therapy horses in just four hours. This practical help has shown us the value of working together to make a positive impact.
2025: Social Workday 2
During our Social Workday 2025, we once again dedicated our efforts to the Bunter Kreis at the Ziegelhof Therapy Centre. Despite mixed weather, eight motivated colleagues and I were there with enthusiasm. After a brief introduction and getting to know the farm and animals, we cleaned and levelled the paths for the children and therapy animals. This year, we'll continue our collaboration with the Bunter Kreis.
