Recipients of personal data

As part of our business operations, we collaborate with various external entities. This sometimes requires sharing personal data with these external parties. We only disclose personal data to external parties when it's necessary for fulfilling a contract, when we're legally obligated to do so (e.g., sharing data with tax authorities), when we have a legitimate interest according to Article 6, Paragraph 1, lit. f of the GDPR, or when another legal basis permits data sharing. When using data processors, we only share personal data of our clients based on a valid data processing agreement. In the case of joint processing, a contract for joint processing is established.

Revoking Your Consent for Data Processing

Many data processing activities can only occur with your explicit consent. You have the right to withdraw any consent granted at any time. The legality of data processing carried out before your withdrawal remains unaffected.

Right to object to data collection in specific cases and against direct marketing (Article 21 GDPR)

If your data is being processed based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) of the GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time, citing reasons related to your particular situation. This also applies to profiling based on those provisions. The specific legal basis for processing can be found in this privacy statement. Should you object, we will cease processing your pertinent personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms, or if the processing is necessary for establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims (objection under Article 21(1) GDPR). If your personal data is being used for direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for such marketing purposes; this includes profiling related to such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will no longer be used for direct marketing purposes (objection under Article 21(2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority

If there are any breaches of the GDPR, individuals have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the member state where they usually reside, work, or where the alleged breach occurred. This right to complain exists in addition to any other administrative or legal remedies available.

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive data that we process automatically, based on your consent or to fulfil a contract, in a common, machine-readable format, either for yourself or a third party. If you request that the data be transferred directly to another responsible party, this will only happen if technically feasible.

Information, correction and deletion

Under current legal regulations, you have the right to request free information about your stored personal data, its origin, the recipients, and the purpose of data processing at any time. You may also have the right to correct or delete this data if necessary. For this and any other questions regarding personal data, feel free to contact us at any time.

Right to restrict processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this. The right to restrict processing applies in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we typically need time to verify this. During the verification period, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

  • If the processing of your personal data was or is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.

  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need them for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.

  • If you have lodged an objection under Article 21(1) GDPR, a balance must be found between your interests and ours. Until it is determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data may only be processed—with the exception of storage—with your consent or for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a member state.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of sensitive information, such as orders or inquiries you send to us as the site operator, this page uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar in your browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the padlock icon in your browser's address bar.

When SSL or TLS encryption is enabled, any data you send to us cannot be intercepted by third parties.

Objection to marketing emails

We do not consent to the use of contact information published under the legal notice obligation for sending unsolicited advertising or informational materials. The site operators expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising, such as spam emails.

4. Data Collection on This Website

Biscuits

Our websites use what are known as "cookies". Cookies are small data files that do not harm your device. They can be stored temporarily during a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Persistent cookies remain on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

Cookies can originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (third-party cookies). Third-party cookies allow the integration of specific services from third-party companies into websites (e.g., cookies for handling payment services).

Cookies serve different purposes. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions wouldn’t work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or video display). Other cookies can be used to analyse user behaviour or for advertising purposes.

Cookies required for electronic communication, providing specific features you want (e.g., for the shopping cart function), or optimising the website (e.g., audience measurement cookies) are stored based on Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR, unless a different legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies to ensure error-free and optimised service provision. If consent for storing cookies and similar recognition technologies has been requested, the processing is carried out solely based on this consent (Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG); consent can be withdrawn at any time.

You can configure your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific situations or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

You can refer to this privacy policy to find out what cookies and services are used on this website.

Consent with Cookiebot

Our website uses Cookiebot's consent technology to obtain your permission to store certain cookies on your device or to use specific technologies, and to document this in compliance with data protection regulations. The provider of this technology is Usercentrics A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark (hereinafter referred to as "Cookiebot").

When you visit our website, a connection is established with Cookiebot's servers to obtain your permissions and other statements regarding cookie usage. Cookiebot then stores a cookie in your browser to identify the consents you've given or revoked. The collected data is stored until you request its deletion, you manually delete the Cookiebot cookie, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory legal retention requirements remain unaffected.

The use of Cookiebot is to ensure that the legally required permissions for the use of cookies are obtained. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.

Contact Form

When you send us enquiries via the contact form, the details you provide, including your contact information, are stored by us in order to process the enquiry and for any follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent. The processing of this data is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, provided that your request relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary for pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in effectively handling enquiries directed to us (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) or on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR), if this has been obtained; you can withdraw consent at any time. The data you enter into the contact form remains with us until you request its deletion, withdraw your consent for storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g., after completing your request). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Get in touch via email, phone, or fax

When you contact us via email, telephone or fax, your inquiry, including any personal data that arises from it (such as your name and the nature of your request), will be stored and processed for the purpose of addressing your concerns. We will not share this data without your consent. The processing of this data is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, if your request is connected to fulfilling a contract or is necessary for pre-contractual arrangements. In all other cases, the processing relies on our legitimate interest in efficiently handling inquiries directed to us (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), or on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR) if it has been requested; consent can be withdrawn at any time. The data you send us through contact inquiries will remain with us until you request deletion, withdraw your consent for storage, or the purpose for data storage is no longer applicable (e.g., once your request has been fully processed). Mandatory legal provisions – especially retention periods – remain unaffected.

The Google Tag Manager is a tool that allows us to integrate tracking or analytics tools and other technologies on our website. The Google Tag Manager itself does not create user profiles, store cookies, or perform its own analyses. It simply manages and deploys the tools that are integrated through it. However, the Google Tag Manager does collect your IP address, which may be transferred to Google's parent company in the United States.

The use of the Google Tag Manager is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in quick and easy integration and management of various tools on their website. If consent has been requested, processing occurs exclusively on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG), as long as the consent includes the storing of cookies or the access to information on the user’s device (e.g., device fingerprinting) as defined by the TTDSG. Google Analytics

This website uses features of the web analytics service Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited ('Google'), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics allows the website operator to analyse visitor behaviour. It provides various data about usage, such as page views, time spent on the site, operating systems used, and user origin. These data are linked to the user's device but not to a user ID.

We can also track your mouse and scroll movements and clicks with Google Analytics. Moreover, Google Analytics enhances the collected data sets using various modelling approaches and employs machine learning technologies for data analysis.

Google Analytics uses technologies like cookies or device fingerprinting to recognise users for the purpose of analysing their behaviour. Information collected by Google about your use of this website is typically transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

This service is used based on your consent according to Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and § 25(1) of the TDDDG. You can revoke your consent at any time.

You can find more information from the provider at the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/5780.

IP Anonymisation

Google Analytics IP anonymisation is active. This means Google truncates your IP address within EU member states or other countries in the European Economic Area before sending it to the USA. In rare cases, the full IP address is sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google, on behalf of this website’s operator, will use this information to assess your website usage, generate reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Browser Extension

You can prevent Google from collecting and processing your data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. For more information on how user data is handled by Google Analytics, please refer to Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Google Ads

The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising program by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Ads allows us to display adverts in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when users enter certain search terms on Google (keyword targeting). Additionally, targeted ads can be shown based on user data available on Google (e.g., location and interests) (audience targeting). As the website operator, we can quantitatively evaluate this data by analysing which search terms have led to the display of our adverts and how many ads have resulted in corresponding clicks.

The use of this service is based on your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

This website uses the features of Google Ads Remarketing. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Ads Remarketing allows us to categorise people interacting with our online services into specific target audiences to display targeted advertising through the Google advertising network (Remarketing or Retargeting).

Furthermore, the advertising target groups created with Google Ads Remarketing can be linked with Google's cross-device functions. This means personalised, interest-based adverts adjusted according to your previous usage and browsing behaviour on one device (such as a mobile phone) can be shown on another device of yours (like a tablet or PC).

If you have a Google account, you can opt-out of personalised ads at the following link: https://adssettings.google.com/anonymous?hl=de.

8. Our Services

Handling of applicant data

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g., via email, post, or online application form). Below we will inform you about the range, purpose, and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing, and use of your data is in accordance with applicable data protection laws and all other legal provisions, and your data is treated as strictly confidential.

Scope and purpose of data collection

When you send us an application, we process your related personal data (such as contact and communication details, application documents, notes from interviews, etc.) as necessary to make a decision on establishing an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (general contract initiation) and – if you have given consent – Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data is shared within our company only with those involved in processing your application.

If the application is successful, the data you have provided will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of § 26 BDSG and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the purposes of conducting the employment relationship.

Data retention period

If we cannot offer you a job, you decline a job offer, or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have provided based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) for up to 6 months following the conclusion of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). After this period, the data will be deleted and any physical application documents will be destroyed. Retention is primarily for evidential purposes in the event of a legal dispute. If it becomes apparent that the data will be needed after the 6-month period (e.g., due to a pending or potential legal dispute), deletion will only occur when the purpose for further retention no longer applies.

Extended retention may also occur if you have given consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

Inclusion in the applicant pool

If we do not make you a job offer, there may be the possibility to include you in our applicant pool. If included, all documents and information from the application will be taken into the applicant pool to contact you in the event of suitable vacancies.

Inclusion in the applicant pool occurs solely on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). Giving consent is voluntary and not related to the ongoing application process. The individual can revoke their consent at any time. In this case, the data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted, unless legal retention reasons apply.

Data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent is given.

Application via our website

You can submit your application documents via an online form on our website. We use Framer Forms provided by Framer B.V. for this technical service. Your applicant data is transmitted securely and exclusively through servers operated by Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS).

Processing is carried out solely for the purpose of conducting the application process based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and, if applicable, Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Only the management of our company has access to the applicant data. There is no sharing with third parties.

If no employment relationship is established, the data will be deleted no later than six months after the conclusion of the application process unless there are legal retention requirements.
