Exoskeletons in the Climate Tech Trades

We stand for systematic, hands-on consulting—without the cookie-cutter templates. Our goal is not just to evaluate solutions in theory, but to test them where they matter most: in our clients' daily operations.

Our project on exoskeletons in the HVAC sector is a prime example. Together with our project partner KlimaShop!, we investigated whether and how exoskeletons can effectively support technicians during physically demanding tasks.

The project focused on three key questions:

  • Does using an exoskeleton provide tangible physical relief for technicians?

  • Is it practical to use them in daily, trade-specific work?

  • Is the investment economically viable?

We chose a highly practical approach, starting by identifying the most strenuous tasks and processes. Based on these findings, we selected suitable exoskeleton models and adapted our proven, pragmatic testing concept to meet the specific requirements on-site.

We closely supported the six-week trial—from initial training and on-site observations to documentation and structured data analysis.

The result was a comprehensive evaluation of the opportunities and limitations of using exoskeletons, tailored specifically to the client's processes and priorities. This provided management with a solid, fact-based foundation for making a decision, while keeping the demand on their own internal resources to a absolute minimum.

Many thanks to KlimaShop! for a successful, open and collaborative partnership, and to our project manager Dominik Lechner for bringing this project to life on-site.
