The assignment:
A local energy supplier needed to base sales management in the private customer sales sector on solid, data-driven foundations. The goal was to create transparency in sales performance and establish a uniform basis for management, prioritisation, and regular reporting.
The approach:
We collaborated with the key stakeholders to develop a consistent management model as the foundation for the KPI system. Building on this, we created a KPI catalogue, clearly defining each metric in business terms (including calculation logic and data requirements) and prioritised the KPIs based on their management relevance. Additionally, we analysed the necessary data sources and their availability within the system landscape, translating requirements into a concrete dashboard and reporting concept. We compiled the results into an IT-compatible business concept and supported the iterative implementation in packages through to final approval, including data verification.
The result
A coordinated, practical set of key performance indicators was developed, including a professional concept and a consistent dashboard and reporting setup. This provides the sales team with a reliable basis for the regular management of sales channels, enabling quicker, more consistent, and data-driven decision-making.
